Brigadoon in the Yard

We occasionally get stars of the sailing world in the yard, and Brigadoon is one of its brightest stars. After recently celebrating her 100th birthday, the Herreshoff-designed schooner is currently in the yard for some routine maintenance and painting. 

For Lindsey Klaus, sanding and refinishing the mast is a labor of love. As she put it, she is next in line to care for the boat that's been in her family since the mid 70's. The second photo shows Brigadoon in a Master Mariners race.
